The Fragile X Lab has made a significant contribution to knowledge about development of children with Fragile X, as well as the impact of mothers' language and behavior on these children.

Our current work will investigate young adult outcomes in individuals with Fragile X Syndrome, related to potential risk and protective factors. The results will identify characteristics associated with more or less successful transition outcomes for young adults with Fragile X Syndrome. At the same time, we are following the mothers of these young adults to examine cognitive and mental health trajectories as they age.
